There is a variety of beautiful places you can visit in Romania! There are dozens of castles and fortresses in Transylvania – Central Romania, the most famous Bran castle because it was inspiration for Bram Stocker’s Dracula, nearest large town is Brasov. You should also visit the capital, Bucharest and it's monumental architecture, painted monasteries in Bucovina, or the Black Sea resorts.

In Romania you want to visit Brasov, it's a beautiful little city (300.000) in Transylvania. The city center is really nice with lots of little shops and cafés. Take a taxi or bus to Bran. It's only about 20 minutes by car, and there you'll see the castle that everybody is talking about. Count Dracula's of course, it's really quite cute. Enjoy!

As a Romanian myself, I'd recommend you Sibiu, Brasov and Cluj. Practically the most attractive cities from Transylvania

Bucharest is a city to visit, either way I found that there wasn't so much to see but the attractive thing in Bucharest was the big contrast between the old and the new,the choas of the city and nice parks where you can easily relax, and where you don't see or hear a thing from the chaotical city life.Maybe you can try to discover the city on rollerblades... :-)

Brasov is a beautiful city. Also Sibiu. If you like castles, you will like all Transilvania. I recommend you Poienari castle. It's near Curtea de Arges. A lot of stairs, but not so many people and amazing view.
