Hello, I lived in Key West for 10 years, and it is a lovely place ! The atmosphere has changed quite alot over the years since I have been away, but there are still some fun gay locales. May I suggest the following bars : Bourbon Street, on Duval Street, which owns 801 Bar, catty-corner across the street. Bourbon Street has 3 bars in a small space, inside and one in the pool/courtyard out in back. They cater, principally, to "twink" types, but all are welcome. There are male strippers there on weekend nights (possibly during the week, too) a small stage where they sometimes have drag performers (Inga is a HOOT !) and large video screens for music videos. There is a pretty fun "vibe" here. There other property (801 Bar), at 801 Duval Street has 3 bars. The front bar is fairly large and square-shaped. It is a "neighborhood" bar, and is open to the street, so it gets a lot of "walk by" tourists, etc. and is nice when it is crowded. They sometimes do (very bad) karaoke in this front bar. The bar in the back (Called Saloon One -taken from another bar now closed) is a strictly male bar (except for the straight couples that sometimes go "slumming" there during Fantasy Fest) and is dark and caters to those with a penchant for "playing", shall we say, though that is unofficial, as it isn't, strictly, legal anymore. All are welcome, but those who don't care for leathermen or "rough" types, might be uncomfortable. When I lived in Key West, if you entered that bar, and were wearing underwear, they would cut it off with a knife and staple it to the rafters, so you get the idea ! LOL The third bar, which is upstairs, features drag queens, including the internationally famous SUSHI and RV, who generally presides over the Fantasy Fest events at 801. The drag can be quite good, sometimes. If you are looking for superb all male lodging, ISLAND HOUSE FOR MEN is without parallel. They have beautiful clothing optional facilities, a "playroom", hot tub, swimming pool, all night bar/restaurant and, next door, a couple of private apartments (expensive) in a house, upstairs and down, which will accommodate around 4 people in each. The island has long been tolerant of the gay lifestyle, but, as I said, there have been changes since the island atmosphere has become more "homoginized". You may be subjected to anti-gay epithets, as is possible in any other city. I hope that these tips were helpful and that you enjoy your trip.

I think they are pretty much all gay! You will see rainbows over the doorways of most places :)

walk up and down duval at night. you can't miss em. Techically, all of key west is pretty gay...happy that is.
