Hito tres fronteras marks the frontier of three South American countries: Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.  Each country has erected a monument with their flag's colors to demarcate the triple border.  The tripartite border occurs where the Río Iguazú flows into the Río Paraná.

The Argentine "hito" is really peaceful and it is really neat to be able to view three countries and two great rivers from one spot. There is also a little tourist market alongside the hito argentino. It is possible to take a bus from town to the hito.
