Wawww! TO BE SEEN. There are different ways to see the glaciers close to El Calafate. I did one day boat trip "all the glaciers". You doing a trip between glaciers except the Perito Moreno. Then you stop in a island (with trees, vegetation,..) in the middle of glaciers. amazing.  The second one was a day trip to Perito Moreno with walking on the glacier. Nice, but actually you walking on the side of the glacier, so it looks like you could do that everywhere... I prefered the first trip where you can see differents kind of glaciers. 

very cool place! the Perito Moreno is something to see once in a life!! if you are looking for a hostal go to hostal lago argentino in El Calafate, very closed to the bus station and to the city center.
the owners are very nice people. they will help you in find everything from restaurants to excursions.
