Oct 19, 2008 The Australian War Memorial in Canberra is consistently ranked one of the top tourist attractions in Australia for a reason. Comprehensive, informative and fascinating it's almost impossible to see everything in one visit. One of the most popular parts of the memorial are the dioramas which depict various scenes from the wars and give a good insight into what life on the front was like. The guides here are well informed and helpful and the free guided tours of the museum are worthwhile. Both on our doorstep and on the other side of the world...
