Jun 2, 2010 From high end couture to funky boutique, market ‘originals’ to surf and street wear, Manly is certainly attracting the fashion savvy with its eclectic and centralised collection of more than 200 retail stores. Along the famous Corso, discovered in hidden laneways or at the weekend outdoor markets, find fashion, food, homewares, giftware and all things lifestyle. Shop for beauty, jewellery and art, and toys for the young and young at heart. Oct 30, 2008 Manly is amazing! If you have any time at all, spend a couple days (or a lot longer!) in Manly! Summer time the place is buzzing...all the Northern Beaches are beautiful, but Manly is my favourite. Also check out Curl Curl and Dee Why! Nightlife - The Brighton, Cerutis, The Wharf Bar (for a nice quiet drink), The Steyne, The Old Boatshed.Check out comedy nights at the Boatshed. Food - The Bluewater Cafe, Cerutis and Four Olives. Oct 6, 2008 In a nutshell, it's just a beach. However, it is also (apparently) one of the most shark-infested areas in the world (I didn't know this when I went there!) which is probably why no-one else was there. Well as far as I know, it's great for swimming, as the water is always warm on clear days, but now that I know a bit more about the beach, I'm not sure I'd advise swimming there. Oct 11, 2008 Manly beach is a breath of fresh air from the busy business center of Sydney. The best way to get there is to take a harbour cruise starting in the Sydney Harbour. On your walk to the beach you will come across a number of cute streets with outdoor cafes, and amazing shopping! The beach its self is beautiful, often less busy then Bondi, and has decent surf!! Oct 26, 2008 I don't think Manly has a shark problem! There is no problem swimming at Manly Beach. I would recommend swimming between the red and yellow flags because that is where the surf lifesaving patrols are, and esp for people from overseas who arent used to swimming at surf beaches. Bring a hat and sunscreen and relax at one of the best beaches in the world. Related Links
