if i was visiting from overseas, i dont think this would be high on my to do list, i think botanical gardens in sydney are much better, and parramatta is about a half hour train trip from the city. they do have some interesting events on thru out the year but its not high on the to do list.

quiet little rose garden - perfect for weddings and enjoying picnics - and alog a busy highway!!

there's usually functions on - whetherit's food festivals, movies in the park, boy scout camping trips - ghost tours... a bit of somethng for everyone

Nice place to chill out near city centre when you think you've seen to much concrete! :) Also nearby lots of little cool cafe's and shops in Parramatta itself. Great for a lunch break on a sunny day.
