If you like sun, surf and sand you will love bondi beach. But, if you love privacy, then this is not your cup of tea. Not only do you join hundreds of other sun-seekers on the warm aussie sand but as a bonus, because your squashed up like sardines, you will be able listen to your neighbour share private details of last night's fun-filled (maybe scandalous) night as their feet will be directly next to your head. You can decide whether thats a good or bad thing ;) I am used to finding secluded beaches in northland new zealand where there is just me and the sea, so only 3 stars (1 for the surf, 1 for the sun, and 1 for the hot surfies). My pick of food in the area?? Bondi FRESH! delicious takeaway healthy salads and fresh fruit and yoghut. Directly accross the road from the beach.

Lived in Bondi for a couple of months, the shopfronts are a little bit overrated and the mcdonalds didn't have a toilet. As for the beach very clean and during the summer the life guards are out in force.Keep between the flags if you are a weak swimmer as the waves will pull you out and the under current is very strong. I'm not a super swimmer but i am quiet strong in the upper body and legs area and i got caught in a rip and was pulled out. When i asked a surfer for help he just told me to fuck off tourist.I did however manage to swim back into the beach diagonally which took a lot of strength and time...

Sydney oh Sydney... the best city on the planet if only it wasn't so far away. Sydney has it all, great food, nice people, awesome weather and of course - Bondi Beach, a place that must be seen to be believed. There are a bunch of nice pubs and restaurants in Bondi, vintage boutiques and lots of surfer chicks around. Sundays there is a great market with all sorts of interesting things to taste, smell, touch and buy. Iceberg's is a happening place at night as well as Hugo's and Bondi Tratt will serve you proper hangover breakfast ;)

"Bondi Beach lived up to my expectations. And then some. It was expansive, with caffe-latte coloured sand teaming with happy people, its waters booming and blue and surfers abound. The sidewalk that starts from Bondi Beach links to the beaches of Mckenzies, Tamaramma and Bronte. The walk was bracing and its views breathtaking."

During summer time you're always garunteed great weather here but to be hoenst you'll find the same in any beach in sydney. The only difference is bondi is far more crowded so you'll find it hard to find a peaceful spot. Good points are that there are lot's of cool cafes, shops etc nearby and there's a good trail nearby leading to coogee with cool little scupltures and views along the way.
