Getting there:
Get off the train at Central Station and make your way to Elizabeth Street, Left hand exit as you get off the trains. Go down Elizabeth Street to Hay Street and turn left. At George Street, to go to the markets or Emperors Garden, turn left again, walk down to Ultimo and turn right. The Buddist shop is on George after the turn off for Ultimo on the left. If you want to go to BBQ King go right at George Street and walk up until you get to Goulburn Street, turn left and BBQ King is on the right side. Aug 23, 2008 One of the great areas in Sydney. Lots to experience. If you can get there for the Chinese New Year then do so, it is worth it. Visit Paddy's Markets - open Thurs - Sun for lots to buy. Mostly cheap gear but worth a look around, some good bargains. There are many places to eat in China Town, some good, some awful. Two of the best I found are BBQ King in Goulburn Street (great food), not for vegitarians and The Emperors Garden in Ultimo Road, cheaper than BBQ King, has a vegitarian selection. There is also a great Buddist shop on George Street thats worth visiting. ![]() Jennifer L. May 21, 2010 not so big, but you can find there some really cheap and good restaurants!
