Opera House
Sydney Harbour Bridge is a steel arch bridge that stretches across the Sydney Harbour.  It was built in 1923 and spans an length of 1149 metres (3,770 feet).  It is one of the iconic landmarks of Sydney.  A popular activity is to do a bridge climb, where you can walk up to the summit of the bridge about 134 metres above the harbour.  The climbs are guided and there are different climbing options.

One of the most surreal experiences I've ever had! It's pricey, and it must be booked in advance, but it is so worth it! Very safe, you go through a thorough instructional and safety training session before beginning, you are harnessed to secure system, and the guide is fully trained and always watching out for you. No cameras allowed on the climb, but the guide will take photos that you can buy afterwards. Yes, buying photos is one of the oldest tourist traps in the book, but this is one of the few that are worth the money. You can climb any time of day, including sunrise. The views are unbelievable.

I was skeptical at first, as it was pretty expensive to just "climb a bridge", but when you get to the top and have a look around, you instantly realise: It's worth it.

I did this a few years ago and would do it again with anyone coming to town who is not afraid of heights. That's the key. There's a part where you walk on scaffolding under the bridge and can see through to the ground below. If you're find with that, the walk UP the bridge will be cake.

I was a cynic about bridge climb until i did it. Really worth it and amazing views. you cant take your own camera unfortunately, which does make it expensive when you buy the photos. If your on a budget, you get a pretty good view by climbing the pylons- less than ten dollars too! And for free you can walk across.

In the area of Sydney known as The Rocks, which has a wide range of cafes, bars, shops, outdoor markets, etc. Most all bars/pubs that have rooftop seating/beer gardens have great views of the Opera House. Plus the bridge isn't bad to look at while enjoying a drink/meal with friends.
