I am biased because i live in Manly and i think it is the most wonderful place in the world. You should all come and visit!! There are heaps of backpackers places, BB's, hotels etc so its worth staying here for at least a couple of days. Best way to get here is the Manly Ferry from circular quay. There is heaps to do- Beach, the Corso for shops and food, have a drink at the wharf bar, walk/bus up to north head, go round to Shelly beach, walk up to queenscliff, spit to manly walk, pizza at Hugos. And there is heaps more to do as well. Markets run most sundays, there is the Manly jazz festival, Manly food and wine festival. I told you it was the nicest place!!

A short ferry ride (15 minutes) from Sydney and your in a place called Manly. I liked Manly, it has a nice beach and nice little shops and market stalls that sell nice artwork. I went to a nice pub for a lovely meal. There are some art gallerys and some nice walks you can do. Manly is open all year and has more than 30 attractions, 100 restaurants and cafes and 200 boutiques and specialty shops, Manly is quite the place to immerse yourself. I recommend a visit if your in Sydney.

Catch the ferry from Circular Quay, although there is no commentary like Harbour cruises its a nice view and relaxing trip.
Manly beach is very pretty, its an easy walk around to Shelly Beach (head right when facing the ocean past the rocks along the path).
Manly has lots of outdoor cafes for a nice meal, or takeway to eat on the beach.

Sydney is a great place, I love to visit the harbour, with the bridge, the Opera House, Circuler Quay, it's numerous ferries bound for wonderful places, eating places, lovely gardens,buskers, historic buildings mixed with modern in style. Yep, Sydney's a great place!!!!

A little bit far from city (30 min. by ferry) but you can not leave Sydney without see it!
