Sep 11, 2008 The Queen Victoria Building is a big shopping building near Darling Harbour in downtown Sydney. The QVB was built in the late 1800's and was a monument and you can see a statue of Queen Victoria in the front of the building on the corner of the street. There is a lot of nice shops and the architecture of the building has been kept from the time it was built and has that old classical feel. It's a beautiful building and it's nice just walking around inside the building and looking at the shops. The QVB is also connected to several other shopping centers around the area through the underground shopping ways that connect all of them together. It's also connected to the train that runs underground. The QVB is also big itself as it is 4 or 5 floors and has that old cage elevator that is still in operation. I would recommend this place even if you aren't a shopping person. Oct 26, 2008 The QVB gives me goosebumps whenever i'm there. The classic archiecture, the amazing clock on the top level. Christmas is my fave time here, with the big Christmas tree. Worth going to, even if your not shopping!
