Sep 14, 2009 I really liked it. Unfortunately I didn't have time to walk through the whole thing, so I just did a train tour inside the park (cute little red train run by Choo Choo Express - owner's name is Darren). It took 25-30 minutes and I was still able to get a few pictures of the gardens. If you're into nature, history, and/or photography, this is a good place to visit whilst in Sydney. I hope to return to Sydney in the not-so-far future and I'll definitely make enough time to walk through the whole thing. Sep 11, 2008 I stayed in Pott's Point, south of the city, and any time I was heading into the city, I detoured to go through the Botanical Gardens. Just so beautiful, with the harbour on one side, and all these amazing plants on the other. And all the spiders and bats hanging from the trees. And when you get to the end, there's the Opera House and the Bridge - quintessential Sydney. Jan 25, 2009 A short walk from hotels near Hyde Park towards the Opera House. I like to get something warm to drink, a snack, and visit in the early morning hours when things are even more peaceful than usual. Wander around and discover all the exotic species, then walk around to the Harbour for luncheon with friends. Sep 10, 2008 Nice quiet and calm spot in Sydney, the perfect place to cool down after a shopping day. You can have dinner at the harbor and then watch the opera house by night. And apparently you can get married in the beautifull scenery of the gardens (we saw one). Oct 26, 2008 As a 'local' this is one of my fave places in sydney. Great views but i love just taking a picnic and chilling out. Theres a coffee shop in the middle and if you are staying nearby, this is an awesome spot to go for a run. Related Links
