Take a journey through one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world and explore Australia's rich and diverse waterways, marine ecosystems and unique aquatic environments – located right in the heart of Sydney! No day trip to Sydney is complete without a visit to Sydney Aquarium.

LOVED it. I LOVE marine life and it was nice to see marine life native to Australia, especially the "mermaids" (dugongs). :-) If one can't do anything else , one should at least go to the Aquarium. Pair it with Sydney Wildlife World next door and it's pretty cool.

Allow at least 90-120 minutes for the Aquarium. If you do both that and Wildlife World, allow at least 150-180 minutes. Either way, it's a nice way to spend the morning and/or afternoon. The Aquarium even has late hours, up until 10:30 p.m. I believe.

I live in Sydney (but temporarily). Fantastic when the weather is dry and sunny and you're off at work so that you can spend your time lying on the grass, eating seafood in a good restaurant or going to the beach!!!And above all don't miss out the sunset with Harbour and Opera House view, it's awesome!!!

It is a great place. Especially if you are in Australia and do not have time to check this all out in real wild world. Definitelly go to Aquarium. It is not only about sharks (although they are great to see there), there are dugongs, rays and plenty of other great sea life.

I was surprised by amount of animals you can see there. I loved the tube where you walk under neath the water and get up really close to sharks, rays... This was an amazing experience.
