This is a beautiful canyon where you can climb to the top easily and enjoy spectacular views.

Drive the back road from Alice Springs past Hermansburg to stop at Palm Valley then on round the road (a lot more on) you will get to Kings Canyon!!

While I was here I ran into a European that was working in the area. He planned to visit the US and wanted to know how King's Canyon compared to the US Grand Canyon. I assured him the Grand Canyon was a hundred times better. I would be difficult for Australia to have a truly grand canyon since it is the most flat continent on the planet.

There is a great walk around kings canyon which is a little rough at the beginning but pretty relaxed after that. There is a pool of water mid walk that is great for swimming. The views are fantastic.

There are a few hikes that you can take through Kings Canyon, but they are all amazing. There are bridges and stuff connecting the rocks and water falls and places you can swim.

I love it and have been twice. Take swimmers as you can swim in the pool part way round which is great when it is hot!

The walk through Kings Canyon is amazing, but be warned, the water in the middle is freezing!
