Jul 2, 2008 Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic! I loved everything about Kakadu! (Except for the light aircraft flight over Kakadu that made me throw up - eeew - due to insufficent airflow through the cabin!) The waterfalls are spectacular (Jim Jim a tad treacherous to get to, but Gunlom a breeze, and a hike up to the top of the falls fully worth it - just don't fall off!), sunset cruise on Yellow Water is breathtaking, as is viewing the sunset from Ubirr and Nourlangie Rock. Even the little cabin we stayed in at Lakeview Park was very pleasant. The crocs claim their own respect. The 'Jumping Crocs' on route back to Darwin city were a sight to behold! Jun 25, 2008 GREAT fun! They filmed parts of Crocodile Dundee there. Saw Burt up close--he's over four feet wide, over 16 feet long. Big crocodile. They once tried to breed him but he bit the legs off his mate! Got a chance to hold several baby crocs and feed a large one with a chicken (after signing a disclaimer!). Was there on a trip with the National Emergency Airborne Command Post trailing Air Force One in 1992. Apr 17, 2009 Beautiful place with lots to see and do. I stayed in the Gagadju Crocodile Hotel which was nice, and took a scenic plane ride over the park, which was great except it made me very sick. Nice photos though! Lovely waterfalls and bush walks with wildlife being plentiful. Related Links
