A park most known for the Katherine Gorge - a deep gorge carved through the sandstone rock over the years by the Katherine River. The gorge features 13 separate gorges containing rapids and falls.  It is possible to see crocodiles on various parts of the river.  Popular activities in some parts of the gorge include canoeing, swimming, cruising and hiking along various trails.

Rent a canoe for a beautiful trip in the gorge. Check it accuratly before you leave (we spent half time to drain it from water) and schedule a five-six km. trip. Don't miss hat and solar cream and wacht out for the crocs.

A beautiful set of natural gorges... kind of like a smaller grand canyon filled with water that you can kayak/boat through. The cliffs are stunning 60,000+ year old Aborigine rock art can be found everywhere.

If you have time, take a canoe for a couple of days and go up the river. You can see natural beauty, flora and fauna, Aboriginal history, culture and rock art...

Beautiful place. Very scenic. I went on a boat cruise down the Gorge and saw some crocodiles in the wild. It was great!
