Gunlom Falls is one of the most spectacular sights in Kakadu National Park. It is found at the southern, less visited end of the park around 30 kilometres from the southern entrance on the South Alligator River.

These falls can be reached all year round by a gravel road. I enjoyed camping here. There is a stunning, emerald green pool, with a white sandy beach, surrounded by high cliffs and pandanus palms, topped off by 150 metres of cascading waterfall and was made famous by the movie Crocodile Dundee. Nice place to take a break and relax with friends. It has toilets and showers there and also a little shop. I saw a snake curled up in the water when i was there!
