Once a year Lizard Island is home to Australia's Marlin fishermen Competion and for the rest of the year it's an exclusive Island resort, marine research base and national park campers delight. Polution free air, land and sea it make for a perfect eacape. Plenty of beach Island activities or a sort boat hire/ hike to Watson Beach to sun bake, picnic, swim, what ever you desire. Note: It's a 1 hour plane trip with Mac Air out of Cairns.
