I don't like the sunshine coast, simply, only Noosa is something worth writing about, but is still far too crowded.
Australia has a beautiful coast line, it's wild and that's why unique.
Sunshine coast in general aims in the middle class families, when Gold Coast aims and singles and couples (searching for "fun" ) - if you find strip of sand, 1000 of hotels, fish&chips, mcdonalds etc appealing you will find Mooloolaba interesting. If not head for places like eg. Royal National Park, only 50km south of Sydney CBD, but this is totality different world!

No compulsory circuit, no speed restriction, no round and round in circles, just pure adrenaline pumping of wave riding with heaps of carving, donuts, fish tails, and sharp turns at 100 km an hour! You can go in any direction , go slow, go fast, go hard and have the reassurance of a professional rescue boat to assist you and make it the best day of your holiday. For us Europeans, burdened by countless laws and rules, enjoy total freedom for a while is a real blessing! And man.. that jetski did have hps!
