Milawa is a small town (population approx 300) about 240 km North East of Melbourne and 16 km South East of Wangaratta. Milawa is the heart of the Gourmet food and Wine Region and has lots to offer those who appreciate fine wine and gourmet food. Milawa is best known as the home of Brown Brothers Vineyard.

It is an ideal stop over on the way from Melbourne to the North East Alps and snowfields (Bright, Mt Buffalo and Mt Hotham).

Milawa is well known for the Gourmet Food and Wine in the area. There are things to see, eat and drink within walking distance including: Brown Brothers Winery, Cellar Door and Epicurean Centre Milawa Mustards Anna Bienvenu Gallery The Olive Shop Milawa Cheese Factory Milawa Chocolates The Muse Gallery Walk about apiaries (honey tasting and sales) You can also eat local foods at: Brown Brothers Epicurean Centre Merlot Restaurant at Lindewarrah Food on Wood Milawa Cheese Factory Restaurant King River Cafe (at nearby Oxley) Accommodation is available at the Milawa Lodge Motel or Lindewarrah.
