One could consider the San Remo bridge a monument. Located east of Melbourne in Australia, San Remo is the gateway to Phillip Island, the home of the Australian motorcycle Grand Prix. In 2003/2004 I rode my motorcycle around Australia and along this journey, ventured onto Phillip Island via the bridge at San Remo that links the island to the mainland.
