About South Perth Foreshore
The South Perth foreshore is located directly opposite the city of Perth, which can be seen clearly across the Swan River. On weekends in warm weather it's full of people running, kicking footballs, having picnics on the grass and generally enjoying the wonderful view of the city. This is the place to come for pictures of Perth with the river in the foreground.

The best way to get to South Perth by public transport is to take the ferry from Perth itself straight across the river.

Go around to the South Perth foreshore to hire a surfcat and sail on the Swan river... heaps of fun! We used to load our boats up with jellyfish from the river and have jellyfish fights with our friends and school mates. The foreshore itself is a big park on the river and is beautiful to walk along too. At one end is the old windmill... my parents told us that the tooth fairy lived there... haha! The South Perth Zoo is the best zoo I have ever seen.... anywhere... and not expensive... it is close to the foreshore.

A great place to get a view of Perth's skyline, it also has a nice river walk, and some good cafes around the area. Watch out for the rollerbladers! Or put on a pair yourself and join them!

Nice Place with a lot grill places that can used for free. In the evenings you will get a stunning view of the skyline of perth, the sunset right behind the few but nice skyscrapers.
