for me it's the best place on earth.... salzburg's not to big, lots of nature around, not a cheap place, i'd say, but worth visiting or living, like i managed finally... http://www.salzburg.info To see: Birthplace of Mozart, Mirabell Garden and Castle, Hotel Sacher for the most famous choclate cake in the world: Sacher Torte (a little expensive but you can go anywhere else, Austria is THE country for cakelovers)

Old Town is fantastic. Not only is the architecture amazing, there is just a unique feeling that you get when walking through the area. There is so much to see in the area and it is easy to explore everything you want to see. I suggest checking out the cathedral and Easter/Christmas in Salzburg.

I almost wondered why Mozart was not born there !It would be a perfect match.Beautiful place,find time to climb easily the hill where from you can see all around.When I visited it was a bit rainy and windy and not so pleasant on the hill but still,exccelent.

its sooo beautiful! and you can feel mozart's spirit everywhere! when i saw it i instantly fell in love with that town *__* u have to go there. and the castle on the rocks is sooo romantic! lovely !
