I love this place and the fountains are fantastic. Just be careful with all things electric, especially your camera. My friend made the mistake of leaving her camera uncovered and it broke when it was sprayed by the trick fountains. Once you finish the tour, you can explore the palace and grounds, especially the Sound of Music pavilion, which is also on the grounds.

On a sunny and warm day, Hellbrunn's trick fountains are a really fun thing to visit. And beautiful too. You get to see how people (extremely rich people to be precise) use to entertain themselves hundreds of years ago.
If you're in Salzburg more than just for a day, I would definitely recommend it.

Lovely place and lovely garden, especially when it gets dark and they turn on all the lights and water fountains! It's only a short drive from the city and the parking is for free... The guide spoke excellent English....
