These caves are located at Werfen near to Salzburg. One more landmark near to the caves is the Hohenwerfen fortress. These are the world's largest ice caves. Temperatures inside the cave would either be zero or less than zero. Ensure you have warm clothing and proper shoes while visting this place. Guided tours are available In English/German which would last for 45min. You can find beautifully shaped ice formations inside the cave. Flash Photography is not permitted inside the caves as there are many bats and other birds inside the caves.

Frankly i have found Salzburg a bit boring, but then again thats just me. the best thing by far to do is the ice caves! the most amazing thing I have ever seen, and its the worlds Largest! not only do you get to tour inside the ice cave at the top of a mountain but you also get stunning views of the surrounding mountains and you can also have a descently priced lunch when your at the top there. only if you order the special menu though, otherwise i found it a bit pricey. but definatly a MUST DO!!!if in Salzburg.
