The Spanish Riding School is a must for any horse lover as well as anyone who wants to see a truely magical performance. You can purchase your tickets when you arrive, or if you are like me and didn't want to miss it no matter what, you can order your tickets at the Spanish Riding School website ( www.srs.at ). It was super easy. I also did the barn tour, which was amazing, as you walk through the barns (no touching) and see the tack rooms, etc. It was a perfect day in Vienna!

The Spanish Riding School in Vienna with its famous Lipizzaner ballet can be experienced live in the baroque ambiance of the Imperial Palace . Alternatively, go and see them in training to music in their chandeliered baroque hall.

Part of the royal palace houses the famous Spanish Riding School, where Lippizaners are being trained. This is a MUST-SEE performance when in Vienna.

Perfect for city break, don't muss Figlmüller restaurant for excellent Vienna Shnitzel and Café Prückel (100 years cafe) for delicious apple-strudel!
