The square is like...a bit to close as for the great cathedral placed here. But still, it makes a big impression when you exit from metro and see those awesome, high towers reaching the sky. Stefansplatz is always crowded with tourists and habitants working in epoch-making costumes reminescenting times of Mozart and Strauss. It's worthy to pay once for such kind of evening concert, listen to it in one of Vienna's concert houses and try Schwarzburger Kirchtorte afterwards. What I also recommend is to visit the cathedral firstly to have a look on it with guide, but then you should come back there to spend a quarter contemplating this quiet church with a bit magical, spiritual atmosphere. I don't advise you to climb up the towers, you'll see the city only though little windows.

Great location and very nice place. Some realy good selections of coffehouses nearby and the story all around.
