It's the oldest zoo of Belgium. The zoo had to be renewed for ages and since a few years it seems that it is going in the right direction. They also have a breeding programm and it also looks good, because since a year the have baby elephant Kaimook and a month ago a new cute hippo!

I love zoo's and this is one of the most famous ones in Belgium. It's old but really nice. It's located right next to the central railwaystation in Antwerp wich is pretty neat. Easy to get to and a great way to spend a day off.

Really big, a good place to bring the kids but I think it is a bit expensive and not all the animals look very happy. At the moment there is a lot to do about a little elephant born in this zoo, long queues.

Historic zoo, very green and nice walking - nice collection of all kinds of animals. historic buildings of 19th century. next to the Antwerp Central train station.
