The Vrijbroekpark is the largest park in the area, located on the edge of the city. It is a great place to rest and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of city streets and the noise of traffic. The park is well equipped with many sports pitches, as well as walks that take you past some nice trees and plants. It is best know for having one of the most impressive rose gardens in Europe. There is also a fish pond, where you are allowed to chance your skills (with a permit!). There is fun for young and old, and at least on 2 locations you can have a sip or a munch (if you have the patience to wait, it can take awhile before they serve you)
