Gezellige cafeetjes en restaurantjes. Maar ga zeker niet binnen bij Malatesta! De chef weigert Nederlands te spreken en is onbeschoft. Er staat brasserie op de gevel, maar je bent verplicht eten te bestellen. Als je het toch probeert om enkel te drinken krijg je een onbeleefde "NON" te horen.

Voor de rest heel gezellig en heel mooie buurt, met vriendelijkere cafeetjes en winkeltjes. Makkelijk te bereiken met de tram

Always busy, big churches and nice pubs. Most of the trams and busses pass by here, so it is easy to reach, harder to get away with all that is going on. Some of the places here come and go but there are a few die-hards like the Damberd where generations have hooked up. If life here is a bit to expensive the Graslei is just around the corner.

De Korenmarkt is the perfect place to have drink or have lunch in one of the many restaurants and cafes. It's the center of Ghent, the place where people meet and where you take the tram to the railway station.

Het bruisend centrum van Gent. Hier komen de 2 grote winkelstraten op uit. Het is ook een knooppunt van het openbaar vervoer. Op het plein staat het vol van de terrasjes, echt een aanrader!
