Sep 25, 2008 If you come to Belgium and if you like large beaches then this might be a good place for you. If you like to have the beach for yourself then you should go in the automn or in the early spring. As soon as it is hot then the beaches are overpopulated. You can always go to the next village where there might be lesser crowd. Most known and populated beaches in Belgium are Oostende, Blankenberge, Middelkerke and De Panne. Between those beaches are a lot of other beaches lesser crowdy. Campings are everywhere, you can also stay at hotels or rent studios or appartments but in the summer you should have a reservation. If you want to visit England then you can take the ferry from Oostende or the train under the sea from Calais (france). For the food you should definetly try mussels with fries because that's typically belgian (I still don't get why americans call it french fries because it are belgian fries, in France you can't find fries anywhere but in Belgium there are frieshops in every street...)
