The Lion Bar is a hotel and restaurant / bar in Grand Popo that was started in 2007 and is known for its reggae theme.  The Rastafarian owner Gildas has decorated the Lion Bar with portraits of reggae musicians (such as Bob Marley) and famous Rastafarians.  Rooms have the picture and name of a reggae artist on the door.  You can also count on hearing lots of reggae music from artists both known and unknown.

The Lion Bar is located by the beach and you can sit on a hammock or lie under the shade of a straw hut while sipping rum and other drinks.  Meals are usually the day's catch of fish and run 1500 CFA.  You can also pitch a tent at the beach for 2500 CFA or take a room for 5000 CFA.
