Wildlife sanctuary/reserve offering campsite & chalet accommodation as well as game drives. Self-drive game drives are also an option (but make sure your vehicle has reasonable ground clearance, as tracks are dirt and/or sand - on our first visit we tried it in a Nissan Micra, which wasn't clever, but the next time we had a larger vehicle.

As entry fees are per day, once you're in, you can drive as much or as little as you wish.

Camp/chalet sites are away from the salt pans where you can see all sorts of wildlife - especially around dawn and sunset - but as there's no barriers between you and the animals, it's not unknown to meet wanderers as you drive, or to meet "visitors" at your campsite. There are no predators within the reserve, so it's perfectly safe as long as you don't provoke anything.

Payment Accepted:

Khama Rhino Sanctuary is situated on the main road between Serowe and Orapa.

If you are travelling from Serowe, leave town on the road opposite the main mall and turn left at the T-junction with the Orapa road. KRS is about 25km northwards through Paje on the Orapa road.
If you are coming from Palapye, turn north to Orapa before you come to Serowe.
If you are coming from Orapa, follow the road south for about 180km.

If you're anywhere near Serowe, this is a must!!! Also a great staging post to spend a night if you're passing through, but if you prefer your creature comforts, the Serowe Hotel in the village is also very nice (say hi to Viv Saba, the owners/managers) and within easy reach foryour game drive.
