What's There:
Description:
Formed from the Okavango River that originates in the Angola uploads , the Okavango Delta is the largest inland delta in the world.  Some 11 cubic kilometres of water reaches the delta each year, feeds the delta, and leaves enough to flow even farther south into Lake Ngami.

The resulting floodplains are home to a wide variety of wildlife, from elephants to buffaloes, hippos to various antelopes, crocodiles, cheetahs, lions and leopards, hyenas, baboons, and more.  Bird lovers too, will find more than 450 bird species, including the African Fish Eagle,Crested Crane, and Scared Ibis.

Popular ways to discover the region is via a mokoro, a traditional dug-out canoe.  This wilderness region is popular for various safari tours.
