It´s quite impressive to be on a boat floating over the meeting waters of Rivers Solimões and Negro (which become the Amazon River after meeting each other)... Their waters do not mix when they come together... This is due to different densities and flow velocities, which make a one-of-a-kind spectacle. Not to be missed when visiting Manaus.

Is very intersting. Because when Solimoe`s river meeting Negro`s river and you down, now the name change to Amazom river the water don`t mixed for a couple kilometers. Is near to Manaus and there are a lot of ship for this trip. And is possible to see a kind of houses above the river.

Beautiful meeting of coke-coloured (black) and latte-coloured waters. it extends for miles and has beautiful swirling patterns on the interface. Best experienced as part of a trip and not as a standalone tour.
