The beach itself is not that beautiful, but Praia do Forte is nice place to hang out. During the day you can go to Tamar (it's a project to protect turtles and other sea animals), or try whale trip. During the night, you can go to the "vila", and try the nice restaurants there, and also the stores..

It's a great place to spend the day or a weekend. Very good restaurants, especially if you want to try local food, cute little shops, with all kinds of prices, ver nice beaches, very friendly people and a small town like pace. Great place if you want to wind down.

it's superb to be swimming there, it's the most beautiful place in the world apart from Iguacu witch is spertacular, magic and kenya, the adrenaline take the hell out of you

This beach north of Salvador is a wonderful place to enjoy the beach in peace. It has also a Project Tamar place, where they work to save baby turtles from extinguishing.
