On Praca do Papa (or Pope's Square, named because that's where Pope John Paul II celebrated a mass when in town) has a large cross to celebrate the pope's visit. The square is located at the foot of Serra do Curral, a tall mountain on the edge of the city, and offers spetacular views of the capital of Minas Gerais state. The area as several mansions owned by local millionaires, celebrities, politicians and sports personalities.

Boa vista da cidade, um conjunto panoramico bonito, além de contar com Mirante proximo, de onde se ve boa parte da metropole. Vale uma visita, principalmente se estiver a dois! :D Fácil acesso para quem está na região centro-sul de Belo Horizonte: taxis e onibus na Av. Afonso Pena levam ao lugar em cerca de 10min. Melhor horario de visitação: fim da tarde. Gratuito

It's a pretty square with a wonderful view of the city in one side, and in the other a view to a mountain. You can see a wonderful sunset while eat a hot dog or drink a coconut water...

This is a place where you can see all the city.The view is fabulous but it is just a square as the others...
I strongly recomend don't go by yourself to this place at night

This is the place where the pope John Paul II looked at Belo Horizonte and said: "This is a real beautiful horizon." The best panoramic view from the city!
