The Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp) is one of São Paulo's public universities. It is well regarded as one of South America's top universities, although perhaps not as high on the list of Brazil attractions for tourists. There are approximately 30,000 students at Unicamp.

Uma cidade agradável, com bom tansporte público. Muitas atrações culturais. O Aulus, um bar em Barão Geraldo (ao lado da Unicamp) é uma boa pedida para uma noitada. Destaco também o Centro de Convivência Cultural. Aos domingos rola a famosa feira "hippie". Gente bonita, petiscos dos bons e um ótimo programa aos domingos. Nas noites frias, a pedida é a Romana. Ótimas sopas para aquecer a noite. Fica no Cambuí que, aliás, é o melhor bairro para se divertir a noite.

Meu bar favorito é o Giovanetti, ao lado da Prefeitura Municipal.

I've studied there for four years...well, I still study there. It's an incredible place, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural place. Surely that's one of the most important universities in Brazil.
