Description:
This iconic mountain with its 100 foot tall Christ Redeemer statue mounted on top with arms stretched out is located in the heart of Rio city and reaches a height of 2230 feet providing an incredible view of the surrounding city. The statue itself is enormous, weighing over 1000 tons and is superbly lit up at night giving the impression it is floating above the city like a guardian angel. While the area tends to be crowded with lots of tourists, nothing can detract from the view you get up there.

The most awesome view of Rio, is from Corcovado! The day before we were on Sugar Loaf and couldn't hardly see a thing becuase it was cloudy. Good thing we did Corcovado the day we did, cause there wasn't a clowd in the sky and the view was incredible! I want to go back, but this time, I would plan just a day in Rio and a couple weeks in other parts of Brazil.

What else is there to say? It is one of the 7 Wonders of the New World. The view of the city, the Christ the Redeemer Statue...everything is amazing. The natural beauty of Rio is uncomparable to anywhere else.

The view from Corcovado is absolutely stunning. You can see all of Rio and it's almost straight below you. Not a place for someone afraid of heights but definitely an amazing place to experience.

An amazing statue. Scary with no pupils in his eyes, but really cool. Great views from here and a neat trip to the top!

This was a site to see. Really takes your breath away. Cool air tram up to the mountain. Cant wait to do it again.

O Cristo do Corcovado. You can see Ipanema beach, Maracana stadium and many others places in Rio.
