Oct 12, 2008 This is an amazing place with views of Rio ! You feelyou´re in the center of the world ... Cristo do Corcovado is huge ! . loved Barra da Tijuca , o Pâo de azúcar , Ipanema ... the beaches are absolutely fantastic but you have to hide your camera , do not wear any jewelry , watches not even good nikies because you might get robbed ... if you´re careful nothing will happen to you . The first time I went to Brazil I was quite shocked when you see 4-5 yeal old children begging on the streets or making little games ... specially near the favelas like la Rozinha , the biggest favelas in Rio !. In Brazil you will eat very good and very cheap !. One of my favourite things over there is breakfast , I used to eat one big papaya by myself with a big spoon , I really loved the fruit there and people are expremely helpful and kind . Brazilians usually say that Brazil is a cheap copy of the States .If you have any questions , Brazil is one of my favourite spots on earth !. Apr 23, 2011 Corcovado is the highest point in Rio de Janeiro and provides a spectacular view of Copacabana, Ipanema, and Sugarloaf Mountain. It is a must not just for its view of the city but also for Cristo Redentor, the world's largest Art Deco statue. If you plan on visiting Corcovado, take note of the weather. If it is cloudy, Corcovado is high enough that the Christ will be obscured. If the weather is poor, van tours will shut down, so planning is key. Sep 6, 2008 The most awesome view of Rio, is from Corcovado! The day before we were on Sugar Loaf and couldn't hardly see a thing becuase it was cloudy. Good thing we did Corcovado the day we did, cause there wasn't a clowd in the sky and the view was incredible! I want to go back, but this time, I would plan just a day in Rio and a couple weeks in other parts of Brazil. May 16, 2010 Great view from the top (if the weather cooperates!) and the railway to get there is quite fun too. The fog got in the way of my photos and I only got a few shots of Christ the Redeemer. Nonetheless, it was a neat experience and I am glad I was able to see one of the New 7 Wonders! Aug 23, 2009 The view is amazing. You could almost see the whole city of Rio de Janeiro. But if you planning to go there and have a good picture, may I suggest that you go there on weekdays and definitely avoid holidays or long weekends as the place may get so crowded that taking a good picture is so hard.
