I was very impressed with the quality of the exhibits and the pleasant layout of the exhibition house. All of the descriptions are in Portuguese, but there was one employee who spoke English and she was more than willing to answer any questions. Unfortunately the gardens with authentic buildings from various tribes was under construction when I visited. The gift shop has a great selection of high quality, indigenous handicrafts that I may just have to visit again before I leave Rio :) This was a surprisingly nice museum in a quiet section of Botafogo.
