The Museum of Roses Research Institute for Roses Aromatic and Medical plants is in Kazanluk
Roses are considered as the Bulgarian Gold.In this museum, you'll see how they use distillation, the oldest way, to get the rose oil. 3 tons of flowers are used to get 1 kg of oil. A kilo is worth 5000 Euro.
They just work 24 hours for 3 weeks in May. Before the harvest they celebrate the Festival of Roses.
You can buy hand cream, face cream and perfume made from the rose oil.
