Spean Ta Ong was a major bridge in the Angkor period (12th-13th centuries) along the Royal Road.  It is an impressive sight in the middle of the jungle, being about 77 meters long and having 14 laterite arches with sandstone nagas.  One of these nagas is still in excellent condition, while the others are in varied states of preservation.   Mighty waters flow through the arches of the bridge, and the bridge may be inaccessible during the rainy season.
