The Phnom Khieu (Blue Mountain) Waterfall is a multi-tiered waterfall that is located approximately 20km southwest of Pailin and is reachable by moto, followed by a 5km hike that winds up through the forest.  It is advisable to hire a guide to navigate the trail – especially due to the proximity of landmines in the area.  Despite the distance, the cool swimming pools at the falls, the avian life, and the excellent setting in the pristine forest make this a worthwhile destination for many.
