Nov 3, 2008 We were visiting Calgary in 1986 and decided to drive thru the Badlands to visit the newly opened Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology. It was a chance for our 7 year old son to see the unique dinosaur countryside and the actual skeletons up close. The scenery was magnificent and the Museum was very interesting. According to their website it is even better now with more experiences to offer to visitors. www.tyrrellmuseum.com May 27, 2008 The Royal Tyrrell Museum is in the heart of the badlands, 6 km (4 mi) northwest of Drumheller, Alberta, in Midland Provincial Park. Plan to spend a few hours visiting the Museum, and remember, Drumheller and surrounding area have a lot to offer - you might want to stay a while! Jun 18, 2008 Very interesting museum. If you like to learn about life before humans..this is the place for you. Lots to do..and go hiking in the Badlands after you are done exploring the museum Jan 24, 2009 This place is pretty cool. Been here twice already, with family and as a field trip. Awesome museum, and that huge dinosaur on the way to it is pretty syck, lol. Jul 13, 2010 Fascinating place to visit. Amazing collection of really dinosaur fossils and can be enjoyed by every member of the family. A must see!
