Camping Photography Snowshoeing Japser National Park was named after Jasper Hawes, the operator of a trading post in the North West Company. It was established as a park in 1907, and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Popular activities include, not surprisingly, hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, wildlife viewing, and more. Likewise in the winter are a wealth of activities, including skiing and snow shoeing. Payment Accepted:

Jul 25, 2009 Jasper National Park is so beautiful. In the beginning of this year I visited this place and explore it beautifully, especially Athabasca River . This I found so interesting. There I also enjoyed whitewater rafting and other such activities. The Columbia Ice Fields are amazing. You can hike up to the edge and take pictures by yourself (but can't walk on them) or you can do a tour. So many great hikes and camping. I recommend Saskatchewan Crossing. It has great sites on the river which is beautiful at sunset and sunrise (don't forget your bug repellant!) Jan 6, 2009 An expansive and utterly beautiful part of the Canadian Rocky's, the scenary is the number one attraction at this national park with chances to climpse Big Horn Sheep, Black Bears and Coyote's to name a few. We only had enough time to do a few hikes and enjoy one of the many Horse riding trails ( avid horse rider's may find these a little boring and generic ) but all in all well worth the trip. Feb 22, 2009 Lovely scenery, peaceful less it is torist season... but even then it is sooo big that you can still excape people.. could have gotten a 5, but with me i am such a big city lover..I go nuts after 3 days out in the wild with no noise just nature... I miss the city too much Jul 21, 2008 OMG! Absolutely gorgeous!! From streams to waterfalls, from flat grassland to white-capped mountains... Breath-taking... simply
