Situated within the Okanagan Valley, Okanagan Lake is a large deep lake 135km long and between 4 to 5km wide.  Legend has it that Lake Okanagan is home to Ogopogo, a serpent like creature.

Very nice lake, and even if you don't see Ogopogo, there are lots of nearby shops and restaurants close to shore. Good spot to grab a book and blanket and just enjoy the scenery and sun. The Canada Day fireworks over the lake are very impressive, if you're there in early July.
