Suspension Bridge
The Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of Vancouver's oldest and most popular tourist attractions.  The bridge is built with wood and reinforced steel cables anchored with 13 tonnes of concrete.  It stretches for 450 feet across and 230 feet above the Capilano River and is located in a 27 acre private park full of old-growth Douglas Fir trees.   Over 800,000 visit annually.

The park has been expanded to include a number of other exhibits, including the Treetops Adventure, which is collection of seven suspension bridges that take you through the canopy up to 100 feet above the forest floor.  You can also see some totem poles and learn more about the First Nations people and the forest through some exhibits and demonstrations.

This is an amazing get away from Vancouver, as it is a short drive and you are out of the city and in the woods. The suspension bridge is truely amazing. It has been re-done over the years (especially after a big storm when a tree falls on it). It is something I plan to go back and do again!

It's amazing to walk across this 450 ft-span suspension bridge and being cognizant of the fact that you are 230 feet above the Capilano River. Walking through the Treetops Adventure was great; something the kids will also enjoy. Also a place to take great photos of nature...

The bridge is cool to check out, but the surrounding park is great to explore as well! The Treetops Adventure is a must -- seven suspension bridges through the evergreens taking you up to 100 feet above the forest floor.

Really nice place to go. Walk along the cliffside, a 100 meter long suspension bridge and the tree top adventure on the other side. It's you money worth. Free shuttle buses are leaving every 30 minutes from downtown.

Très beau site en pleine nature avec tout un parcours de ponts en suspension. Pour acceder au site, il faut traverser un premier pont long de 70 mètres et suspendu à 136 mètres de haut.
