Lynn Canyon is an excellent place to go hiking near Vancouver. The park contains a number of trails as well as the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. This bridge is a good free alternative to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. It is shorter (155 feet long) and not as high (150 feet above the water) than the Capilano Suspension Bridge, but still provides strong thrills. The bridge can get quite bouncy if there's a lot of people on it, and there are some good views of the waterfalls and other natural scenery in the area.

For those interested in nature walks, this is a perfect place! There are several trails which can be walking or biked upon, a couple areas that can swam in (as there is a river in the park) and a lodge where lunches and snacks can be purchased!

If you want to go to lynn valley skip the bridge and take the city bus to its last stop as far north as you can go. there is a vary nice hike to the nicest stream you can dive off rocks into.
